Folk Heritage of Pakistan is a glimpse of the rich cultural traditions Pakistani’s enjoy. In a world that has misunderstood Pakistan and only sees it in the context of security issues, a book that shows real faces and the talents of a nation so deeply embedded in historical pluralism of South Asia, might be an eye opener for many. Dr. Fouzia Saeed, a social scientist with a PhD from the University of Minnesota, is the author of “Taboo! The Hidden Culture of a Red Light Area,” based on 8 years of field research among prostitutes in Pakistan.
